The B&W Companion # BWRVK3500 is a fixed hitch and for your 2009 Chevrolet 2500 with a 6-1/2 foot bed you're going to need a sliding hitch to have enough turning clearance.
The sliding Companion is # BWRVK3400-5W which will give you an 12 inches of travel to help you make sharp turns. To determine if this will be enough for you to make sharp turns you can do a little math. You need to take the distance from the center of the hitch's jaw to the cab of your truck and add the 12 inches of travel. Then subtract half of the width of your trailer. To safely make a 90 degree turn at least 4 inches is recommended.
To install the B&W you'll need the Custom Underbed Installation Kit # BWGNRK1067-5W which is designed for your truck.
To check if you will be able to keep your tool box in the bed measure from the end of your bed (The tail gate end but not the tail gate itself) 59-1/4 inches. This is the furthest point the base of the slider will reach towards the cab of your truck.
