Will Timbren Rear Suspension System # TTORTUN4 Work On A 2009 Toyota Tundra 4wd With 2 Inch Blocks
Question:
I have an 09 4wd Tundra with 2in blocks on the rear axle. Will the Timbren suspension work?....will it also need special blocks? How will the Timbren suspension affect suspension articulation while off-roading...........will it allow the rear axle to flex?......the same as stock?

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part # TTORTUN4, will install in place of the bump stop on your 2009 Toyota Tundra 4wd. If your bump stop is still on your vehicle the Timbren system will fit. The Timbren system will need to have a clearance of one inch between the frame and the top of the rubber spring. This allows the factory suspension to work normally under light loads and standard terrain.
When your vehicle is loaded or goes off-road the rubber springs will compress and provides resistance, which will stiffen the suspension and keep the vehicle level. So if you are going off-road it will not allow the rear axle to flex. I spoke with my contact at Timbren and he said the system is not designed for recreational off-roading, but it can be used for somebody that might go off-road in a work situation.
The Timbren system does not use any special blocks, but the rubber spring does bolt to a bracket that installs under the U-bolts on the rear axle.
I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Timbren system.
