Can FastWay Weight Distribution be Used on Foldaway Coupler with Surge Brakes
Question:
I have a single axle bass boat trailer with a swing away tongue. It also has surge brakes. Will this work? will I need adapters of any kind?

I have spoken with one of my contacts at Fastway, and have been told that weight distribution can be used with a folding trailer coupler. I am assuming that you have a pole tongue trailer, so a pole tongue adapter would be necessary. The adapter would typically be installed approximately 30 inches to the rear of the coupler, if the hinged portion of the folding tongue would not interfere with the adapter, you should not have a problem.
If you are interested in part # FA94-00-0600, part # EQ95-01-5950 would be what you need. This combo is compatible with surge brakes.
