How does the cover secure a non locking tailgate? 2011 Toyota Tacoma

When the BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover, part # BAK26407 is installed it will be secured in place with latches attached to the underside of the Tonneau cover near the tailgate.
If you do not have a locking tailgate, the Tonneau cover will not lock it in place. The tailgate will still operate that same. You do need to lower the tailgate to reach the tabs you pull to release the cover and allow it to be folded. I have attached a link to an installation video for this cover you can check out.
