Recommended Firestone Ride-Rite Air Springs For 2015 Ram 2500

Question:

So I have a Dodge Ram 2500 2015 with rear coil springs and the ride is smooth. I want to eliminate sag when I hook up my RV and load my Golf Cart. What system do I go with with two things in mind. 1 no sag 2 keep my non loaded ride comfort Air Bags or Timbern

To give you ride comfort and reduce sag in your 2015 Ram 2500, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle, # F2706, which is a confirmed fit for your vehicle. The Ride-Rite system is extremely adjustable, so your ride won't be impacted when unloaded and the support will be available when loaded. These air springs will adjust for up to 150 psi operating pressure. This will help support up to 7500 lbs. If you want to make the adjustment as easy as possible, you can add the Firestone Air Command I Compressor System with Analog Gauge and Heavy Duty Compressor - Single Path, # F2097, which will make adjustments from the comfort of your cab with just the push of a button. The gauge will monitor your pressure for you as well.

The jounce style enhancment of the Timbren will give you great support when loaded but not much grace when unloaded. The nature of beast with those style helpers is that they aren't engaged on level ground when unloaded but that when your axle travels on a large bump, they will be impacted and the jolt is often transfered to you as there is no compression on them from the lack of weight.

For a similar jounce style enhancement, I suggest the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle, # SSR-312-47. These are slightly more forgiving as they aren't as strong as the Timbren's, but will still give you a 1500 lb capacity assist. These springs are designed to compress easily at first to ease that kick back when you hit a bump, however you will still feel it when the jounce springs make contact as opposed to the air ride that you can adjust to almost no additional pressure.
