Would Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller Connect to Harness that MaxBrake Controller Connects To
Question:
2007 3500 Dodge CTD Dually, 36 ft gooseneck race car hauler, 7 way plug. My wonderful MaxBrake controller is having a signal wire problem, probably at the hydraulic pressure sensor, Ive struggled unsuccessfully to repair. As theyve been out of business for several years, I have been unable to locate a replacement wire. Im thinking of replacing with the Tekonsha P3. Ive attached photos of the wiring harness, it appears to me identical to the one the P3 would use. So it seems to me if I bought a bare P3 controller, I could plug it in to existing wiring? Photos attached although not sure they uploaded, email if I need to resend directly. In a worst case I know I could buy a new harness from you as well, just hate to throw away an otherwise perfectly good part. Your thoughts and guidance please. And Merry Christmas to you and the etrailer gang, from a long time very happy customer.

The connector you sent in a picture of would be the exact same as what the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 connects to so it would connect right up. Also, the controller comes with basically the same harness except with 4 blunt cut wires that could easily be wired too. You would have to cut off the connector and then wire the blunt cut wires by color. But realistically that wouldn't be needed.
