Recommended Trunk Mounted Bike Rack to Fit 2012 Honda Pilot and 2016 Kia Sorento

Im looking for a bike rack that can be used both for a 2012 Honda Pilot and a 2016 Kia Sorento. It appears that a Big Joe 3 would work. Is that true? Are there others you recommend?

For use on both your 2012 Honda Pilot and your 2016 Kia Sorento, the Yakima KingJoe 3 Bike Trunk Mounted Rack is a confirmed fit but is no longer available. I recommend the very similar Yakima HangOut 3 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms # Y02638. It has a 6-strap system that holds the rack securely in place. It is easy to install with quick-trigger hub. It also has StableCradle that holds bikes firmly in place.

I also recommend the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 3 Bike Rack for Vehicles w/ Spoilers - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms, # HRF2-3. The Over-The-Top 3 has interlocking hubs with quick-release levers. This rack uses 4 adjustable cam buckle straps with rubber coated hooks to secure the rack to your vehicles. It is a sturdy steel construction that has a foldiing design for compact storage.

With either rack, I recommend the Thule passive security strap for trunk mounted bike carriers, # TH533.
