Flat towing a vehicle behind a motorhome, safely and legally in all states and provinces, takes a few components. These include a tow bar, of course, as well as mating base plates, safety cables, a wiring/lighting solution of some kind, a high/low hitch adapter and a braking system for the towed vehicle. Each of these items is discussed in the linked overview article on the basics of flat towing. I also included articles specifically related to high/low adapters and supplementary braking systems. Reviewing these is a great way to start your project.

Let's start with base plates for the F-350. I suggest the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2631 which is made specifically for your Super Duty F-350. This kit allows direct connection to their Alpha tow bar # BX7380 - no adapters needed - and since the tow bar includes safety cables you save that expense.

Options for wiring/lighting kits are shown on the linked page. These include simple-install magnetic light kits like # TL21RK which require no modifications to the truck, and hardwire diode kits like # RM-154 that involve splicing into its wiring. The magnetic lights are an easy and cost-effective solution so I tend to suggest these most often.

For a braking system it is hard to beat the wireless and portable Blue OX Patriot # BLU37TR. This unit is easy to set up and operate and it can easily be moved to another vehicle. With it you will need a relay # RM-88400 unless you are using magnetic lights.
