Do I need to remove rubber bump stops on lower control arms to replace Springs with air bags?.

The correct Firestone air bag kit for your 1985 Chevy Suburban is the part # F2430 which is a confirmed fit. The bump stops of the vehicle would not need to get removed to install this.
