Based on the picture that you sent in, it looks like the top part of the shank attaches to the bike rack and the bottom portion, the part you are holding, looks like it is 1-1/4 inches and inserts into your hitch.
You can find the size of your shank by measuring two sides (outside width and height) - I will attach a help article.
If this is the case, then we have a Hitch Reducer # e63YR that will reduce the size of your 2 inch hitch on your vehicle to a 1-1/4 inch hitch. Not only will this enable you to tow something that has a 1-1/4 inch shank, but it will not reduce your tongue weight capacity like extension adapters do.
Since this adapter is removable, I recommend using our Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98882 for added security.
If the bike rack part you are holding does not measure 1-1/4 inch X 1-1/4 inch, feel free to let me know and we can look into other solutions for you.
