Low Cost Bike Rack options for Easy Loading of Bikes
Question:
HI, I am looking for a bicycle carrier similar to this use for my wife. She can’t lift the bike onto standard bike carrier. What can you suggest. MaxxTow MaxxHaul Aluminum Motorcycle Carrier for 2inch Hitches - 400 lbs 2 reviews Code: MT70101

The only hitch mounted bike rack with a ramp that we have is the Thule EasyFold XT 2 Bike Platform Rack # TH903202.
What I recommend for you is our Swagman XC 2 Bike Rack # S64650 if you are only looking to transport up to 2 bikes. If you are needing to transport more than 2 bikes, I recommend purchasing our Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Platform-Style 2 Bike and 4 Bike Rack # HR1400Z. These bike racks are easily adjustable and instead of having to lift a bike and hang it from the frame, you simply lift the bike and place the wheels into the hoops. These racks also accommodate most bike frames and allow you to adjust the location of the hoops depending on the size of your bike.
You should also get the 8 foot Cable Lock and the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Saris Mounted Bike Racks # SA984. This combination will help to eliminate noise and movement of the rack to your hitch. It also helps prevent theft of your bike rack by providing you the ability to lock the rack to your hitch. The cable lock will help prevent the theft of any bikes that you might have on your bike rack.
I included links to demonstration videos for all three products.
