Replacement Fenders for Roadmaster 3477 Tow Dolly

Question:

A tree fell on my Road master 3477 tow dolly I use to haul my daughters Gem car. That cracked both plastic fenders, that need to be replaced. Metal fenders are more expensive and Im not sure why they would be preferable unless they are going to be walked on, or vibrate bad enough to fall off. Neither of which applies. The empty trailer shakes pretty good when it is empty but the plastic fenders seemed to work fine. Also the metal ones I think need to be welded on, not held on by bolts. Please give me you thoughts about both fenders and recommendations. Thanks,

For the RM3477 tow dolly by Roadmaster the correct replacement divers side fender is the part # RM-922004 and # RM-922005.

For a similar sized plastic version that could be modified to fit we have the part # F008554 that is also 30 inches long.

If it were me I would go with the metal ones since they are designed for the dolly and wouldn't require any fabricating.
