Trailer Brakes Only Work When Using Manual Switch On Voyager Brake Controller and Plug-In Harness
Question:
I have a voyager controller on my 2014 f-150 and it only works on manual. I have done all ofthe adjustments and leveling but cannot get it to work from the brake pedal. used light indicator and see that black wire is getting power to unit but no light coming on when I check red wire and apply brakes. I used the wiring harness provided by Tekonsha for my truck and have checked the fuses related to brakes and controller. Brake lights work on trailer when brakes are applied. What do I check next.

The first thing I would do is unplug the brake controller wiring harness # 22292 from your 2014 Ford F-150 and test each function on the truck's connector. Inspect both connectors and make sure no pins are bent, they're pretty fragile and this is relatively common.
If all of the pins look okay, and the functions coming from your truck check out, make sure the wires going into the back of the connectors match up with each other. We've seen it, on occasion, where a truck manufacturer changes the wire pattern in the connector. If the red wire from the Voyager Brake Controller # 39510 doesn't line up with the stop light switch wire on the truck's connector you can remove the red wire from the back of the connector on the harness and reposition it where it needs to be.
If you check these and still cannot resolve the issue let me know and we'll keep troubleshooting.
