Replacement Spring Bar Recommendation for Reese Strait Line System Towing 6,000 lb Trailer
Question:
I had a 34 ft trailer which weighed about 9000lb. I traded for a 25 ft trailer which weighs about 6000lb. The reese duel cam hitch, I have I believe are 2000lb bars. Do I have to get lighter bars or are these fine for the lighter trailer?

You would need to go with lower rated spring bars on your Reese Strait Line WD system since you are going to a much lighter trailer. If you have too high rated bars you will have a very rough ride quality.
Since your total trailer weight is 6,000 lbs you would have a tongue weight between 600 and 900 lbs. For spring bars in that range you would want the part # RP66009 which have a tongue weight range of 600-1,200 lbs.
