Best Fifth Wheel Hitch Setup Recommendation for 2015 Ram 2500 Short Bed with B and W Turnoverball

Question:

I have a 2015 Ram 2500, it came with a BandW hide-a-ball hitch installed. I want to stay away from the cumbersome 5th wheel hitch. Would a CAB-C5GX1216 Covert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th Wheel-To-Gooseneck Adapter w/offset 12-16inch adjustable height be a wise chose. The truck is a mega cab with short bed and has 20inch wheels. I want to make sure this would allow enough room for turning and will adjust enough to allow for the height of the 20inch wheels and will this hitch be a problem for my 2006 KZ Escalade 38foot camper. Thanks for any help you can give before I spend the money for this product.

Since the offset of the # CAB-C5GX1216 pivots and turns when the truck turns it doesn't actually give you much additional clearance for making tight turns with a short bed truck.

I know you don't want to deal with a heavy fifth wheel hitch but the only option you have that will allow you turning clearance to tow a fifth wheel trailer is to use a Slider Companion part # BWRVK3400. You also can take the hitch apart to make it easier to install and remove if needed.
