Your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Texas Edition comes with a factory tow package. That makes finding the correct wiring harness very easy as it is just plug and play. For your truck I'd recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller with wiring harness # 90195.
This Prodigy P3 is a proportional brake controller with a customizable LCD display. It has 3 different boost levels and diagnostic troubleshooting displays that you don't need a manual to decipher. It also has advanced safety features to prevent damage to various components of your towing setup.
To connect your brake controller, you will need the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers, # 3016. I've linked an installation video on a similar Silverado for you.
