Backup Camera Recommendation for a 2008 Chevy Silverado 3500 with Camper In Bed
Question:
I have an 08 Silverady 3500HD. when I put my slide-in camper on the truck, i need to be able to hitch up my boat as well. I use a 24 inch extender because the camper extends off the back by about 18 inches. The bumper on my camper is aluminum, so I cant use a magnetic mount. Any thoughts on a hitch camera for this setup?

Expert Reply:
You could use a magnetic mount camera such as # RVS-83112 placed on the hitch or ball mount if you wanted to. Otherwise you could use a license plate frame style camera such as # HM60195VA. A magnetic style is great if you have more than one vehicle you want to use it on. The license plate camera has the benefit of being a hardwire installation instead of wireless so there is little to no chance of interference.
