B and W Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch Setup Recommendation for a 2016 Ford F-250 Short Bed

Question:

I have a 2016 Ford F-250 Superduty crew cab with the 69inch short bed. Im considering a 5th wheel trailer but I understand that with the short bed I would need to use a Reese Sidewinder/Revolution pin box. My F250 does not have the factory 5th wheel hitch prep package. Im interested in the BandW Companion hitch but I understand that there are restrictions on using the Companion and Sidewinder together. What underbed rail kit could I use to install the Companion hitch?

For the 2016 Ford F-250 short bed you would be able to get by without having to use a Reese Revolution/Sidewinder. You would just have to use a slider fifth wheel hitch to give you the turning clearance needed. If the truck bed was shorter than 6 feet you would need the Sidewinder but for a 6-3/4 foot bed the slider will work fine.

For that you would want the Slider Companion part # BWRVK3400-5W and then the rail kit part # BWGNRK1111-5W.
