Left Hand Side Trailer Light to Match ST56RS

this item says its for the right side I need for left side [drivers side] does it really make a difference?

The left hand version of the part # ST56RS is actually part number # ST57RS. The biggest difference is that this one has a light for the license plate that would be mounted below it. Aside from that it's no different. Only other difference is it has a yellow wire instead of a green wire for the stop/turn signal.
