Locating the Brake Light Wire to Install a Trailer Wiring Harness on a 1991 Isuzu Trooper
Question:
Got everything working great except the brake. I have tried connecting the red wire just about every wire I could. Where does it need to go for this application? This is the 4 way plug.

The easiest way to determine which wire is the brake light wire on your 1991 Isuzu Trooper is to first identify the brake light bulb. Then test the wires going to that bulb with a circuit tester, such as # PTW2993 if you need one, while someone sits in the cab and steps on the brakes (to power that circuit).
Another option is if the Trooper has a third, center brake light, to test those wires and tap into the brake wire there instead of at the tail lights.
