Troubleshooting Trailer Interior Lights Not Functioning on Horse Trailer

Question:

everything works but the interior lights, they use to work but do not anymore. This is on a horse trailer and it has interior lights in the tack room and in the horse area, I have a hard time believing all the bulbs are bad. Is there a fuse somewhere i need to look at or is there a way to trace it from the trailer forward? The running lights work the brakes work the blinkers work everything but the inside lights. thank you

Sounds like the issue is the 12 volt power circuit of your 2009 GMC Sierra's 7-way. Check the pin in the 1:00 position for voltage with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. If could be as simple as a dirty or bent connector that's just not making contact. Or it could be a blow fuse under the truck's hood.

If the circuit is functional on the 7-way most likely it's related to wiring on this circuit between the connector on the trailer and light fixtures of your trailer.

I attached a couple wiring help articles for you to check out as well.
