Can the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit be Installed Diagonally

I think these wheel straps are a great idea, I am just wondering if I install them on rear wheels only, do I then strap down my front end? Has anyone tried installing these diagonally? Then each side is strapped as well as front to back, and zero compression of the suspension is needed. Am I missing something?

I contacted Erikson and they told me the straps of the ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160 should not be used diagonally, and that it is illegal to do so. You might contact your local DOT to check this for your specific area.

Erikson also verified that as long as what you are securing is within the 1500 lbs. safe working load limit of the E-Track you do not need to strap down the other end.

As a pair the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit #EM09160 that you referenced has a 1,500 lb capacity, but if you used two sets of these (gives you a tie down for each tire) you'd have more than enough total capacity at 3,000 lbs.
