Will the Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly have Traction and Not Sink in when Used on Grass

Question:

I was wondering how this would operate if Im attempting to move a 32, 2000# boat trailer from my driveway to the side of my house. My concern is having to traverse across the lawn. Will the wheels sink into the ground or will they be unable to get any traction?

The Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly # TVXL25 has 2 rubber wheels so as far as traction there isn't anything better! Whether or not they sink into the ground depends on the tongue weight of the trailer and the permeability of the ground. The tongue weight on a 2,000 pound boat trailer is minimal so no problem there. If it was sand or loose soil then it could sink in but regular dirt and grass like in your yard won't be a problem (unless you have moles digging tunnels in your yard!).

I have a 5X and it doesn't work well on the grass. The wheels can't get enough traction to move my 18 foot boat trailer even on level unprepared surfaces.

...I was curious if anyone had any luck moving across there lawn with the trailer valet. Does the winch have the ability to move the trailer over a less than smooth surface. I was thinking about using a 2 x 10 x 10 to help support the trailer valet wheels.
