Bike Rack Recommendation for 2015 Ford Focus that Allows Rear Hatch Access

Question:

Hi! I have a 2015 Ford Focus ST which has a spoiler at the top of the hatch. Im interested in the Thule Passage 910XT 2 bike rack. Im only going to be carrying my sons commuter bike a short distance 5 mi 5 days/week. Questions: 1 Will the spoiler prevent me from installing this rack? 2 With the rack installed, will I still be able to open the hatch? Thank you!

If being able to open the hatch of your 2015 Ford Focus is important then I would not recommend a trunk mounted bike rack since they have to be totally removed to open the hatch of a vehicle.

Instead I would recommend a hitch rack like the Kuat Transfer part # KU74FR which will fit your Focus and can tilt away to allow rear hatch area access. See review video.

For a hitch you would want the Curt hitch part # C11431.
