7-Way Connector For 2016 Jeep Renegade With Factory Tow Package
Question:
Sirs, i have a 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk that came with a factory tow-package. The factory package is 4-pin... I need 7-pin to pull my pop-up. Do you guys sell a 7pin kit made for the renegade? Ive seen your 4-pin kits, maybe theres a 7-pin? Thanks,

If you said you need a 7-way trailer connector for your camper you can do a quick check to see if a 7-way is needed on your Jeep. Check the drums on the trailer to see if it has brakes.
If you need a 7-way because the trailer has brakes installed there are a couple things you will need. First you will need part # ETBC7. This attaches to the 4-way on your Jeep and attaching the other wires as shown in the attached drawing gives you a 4-way and a 7-way connector on your Jeep. If you do not have brakes and no brake controller is needed you can just cap off the blue wire at the back of the # ETBC7 and run the rest of the wires as shown in the drawing.
If you need a brake controller I recommend part # 90885. This is our most popular brake controller because it is easy to install and operate. The attached drawing shows how wiring is run for a brake controller and for the # ETBC7.
