The Tekonsha Prodigy RF Brake Controller, # TK94FR, can be installed on your 2006 Volvo XC70. It will require that you have a 7-way connector on your vehicle for the brake controller to plug into.

The Prodigy RF brake controller is designed for use on one trailer that will be towed by different vehicles, like fleet owners with multiple towing vehicles. If you want to use it on your truck for towing multiple trailers it would be the same as installing a brake controller in the cab of your vehicle. If you tow trailers with different connectors (4-way, 5-way, and 6-way) you will need to use adapters in your 7-way when using either the Prodigy RF controller or a brake controller in your cab.

On your 2006 Volvo XC70, you can use the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, # 90885. I am sending a link to the instructions on the Prodigy P2 brake controller.

If your vehicle came with a factory 4-flat connector or no trailer connector you will need to install a 7-way to the rear of your vehicle by using the # ETBC7 installation kit and hard wire the brake controller to your vehicle.
