Does the Tekonsha Voyager Work with Electric Over Hydraulic Trailer Brakes
Question:
As Tekonsha says I am not to use my Voyager 9030 on the Electric Over Hydraulic. I have been towing trailers with Electric brakes, with the Voyager Brake Control, for many years, I do say this Tekonsha Brake Control has been the best ever. In the last three months, I have had the privilege of pulling a trailer with the “Electric Over Hydraulic” using my Voyager Brake Control, it worked positive when I needed it and a nice smooth braking the rest of the time loaded or empty with no problems, I got better performance than straight Electric brakes. SO my Question is WHY NOT use my Voyager Brake Control on Electric Over Hydraulic !!!

In general, the Voyager is not compatible with electric over hydraulic actuators, this is true. But it is possible that it can work with some brand or model actuator. It could also be that the trailer that has the electric over hydraulic actuator has an adapter to make it compatible or someone found a way to trick the controller into thinking there are electric brakes (hanging magnets).
The bottom line is that it is working for you. But it is also possible that it won't work with a different trailer that has electric over hydraulic brakes. And if and when that day comes I would like to introduce you to my friend the P2 # 90885. If you liked the Voyager you'll love the P2.
