Fifth Wheel Rail Kit Recommendation for a 1979 Chevy Scottsdale
Question:
Im looking for mounting brackets for a fifth wheel rail kit on my 1979 Chevy Scottsdale 20 long bed pickup. After getting under the frame and looking around I could only identify 2 mounting holes on either side of the frame, one in front of the axle and one behind, although there are a few smaller holes underneath the hole behind the axle. I was wondering if there is s bracket available to fit this arrangement or if it requires fabrication to the frame.

We have fifth wheel rail kits that are listed as a fit for your 1979 Chevy Scottsdale but they are universal kits that will require some drilling. The part # RP30035 is a fifth wheel rail kit confirmed as a fit for your truck that will work for you as long as the hitch you have is designed to fit industry standard fifth wheel rails like the part # RP30047.
