It sounds like you need a flat-towing wiring harness to allow your motorhome to control the lights on the towed MKX. There are several options for flat-towing lighting and these vary in cost, complexity of installation and in how permanent that installation is.
With a brand new vehicle like your MKX you can consider a set of magnetic lights like # TLL21RK, which uses a 4-pole flat type connector. This kind of lighting kit means you do not have to cut into the brand new car's wiring or make any permanent modifications. You might want to add Magnetic Tow Light Partners # TLP01.

Always check your car's owner's manual for information related to preparing it for flat towing behind a motorhome.
