Why is My Slider Stuck on my Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Square Tube Slider - 16,000 lbs?

I talked to my contact at Reese and he said that most likely the problem is the direction the pull pins on your Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Square Tube Slider - 16,000 lbs, part # RP30051, are installed. He said to check and make sure that the clip on the pull pins are on the outside of the rails, and that if they are installed with the clips on the inside of the rails, that will cause the slider to stop operating.
He also said to check the rails for any debris that might be obstructing the path of the slider. It probably would be a good idea to spray down all the moving parts with a quality lubricant like LubriMagic Green Series Biobased Spray Lubricant and Penetrant also.
