We have several trailer hitch mounted enclosed cargo carriers that will be perfect for your Land Rover LR4.
First, of you have a lot of things that you need to put in the carrier then the absolute best option is the Let's Go Aero GearSpace # HGK826 or # HGK819. These options have an astonishing 34 cubic feet of cargo space. As you can see in the pictures of these products they are quite large.
If you don't need quite as much room as the GearSpace offers then I recommend taking a look at the Yakima EVO carrier # Y62VR that can swing off to the side of the vehicle, so you have access to the back of the vehicle. The Yakima EVO carriers offer 10 cubic feet of storage. You can also remove the enclosed part and use the flat part as a regular cargo carrier if you wanted.
Both GearSpace carriers and both of the Rola carriers listed above are designed to fit 2 inch trailer hitches. If your LR4 has a 1-1/4 inch Class II trailer hitch then use the Thule Arcos Enclosed Cargo Carrier # TH25YE.
All the carriers are lockable and have lights on them. If your LR4 does not have a trailer connector you can add one using # 119250KIT. And if you need a trailer hitch you can use # 13456 which is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver.
If it were me I would go with one of the Rola carriers because they are more versatile and have a higher weight capacity than the similar Thule model.
