Describe Retention Devices Referenced in Instructions for WeatherTech Front Floor Liners # WT450341
Question:
what are the retention devices referred to for these front floor mats?

Expert Reply:
The factory retention devices mentioned in the installation instructions for WeatherTech floor liners WT450341 would be small knobs in the front floorboards of the vehicle. Some, but not all vehicles are equipped with these. If your 2007 Hummer H3 does have the knobs, they should be toward the outer left on the driver side or outer right on the passenger side.
Basically, the small knobs fit into a hole in the factory mats to secure them and keep them from sliding around.
You can view the instructions at the link below. The first picture in the instructions shows a small black circle in the bottom left corner of the floor mat. This is a retention device.
Check out the picture I attached also that shows what a retention device is.
