The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, # 90885 and # 3034-P, will come with the Ford Super Duty adapter that will plug into the back of the Prodigy P2 brake controller and the other end plugs into your factory brake controller plug. This brake controller will hook up to your 2010 Ford F350 and bypass the factory controller.
The Ford factory brake controller that is in the dash does not have to be removed. You will need to unplug the connector under the dash and plug in the # 3034-P adapter for the Prodigy P2 brake controller to the factory brake controller plug behind the dash.
The vehicle will need the computer flashed so it will keep from searching for the connection to the OEM brake controller in the future, eliminating any fault codes. This will usually have to be done at the Ford Dealer.
You can try unhooking the vehicle battery for 5 minutes to see if that might flash the computer, but that does not always work.
Once the computer is flashed you will be all ready to go.
