How to Find Stoplight Wire for Prodigy P2 Brake Controller 90885 on a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
I want to install my Teshonka Prodigy brake controller on a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe with a Trailer Package. I have it all hooked up but am having problems with the brake wiring. There are 4 wires white, brown, two grey, how do I find out which one to hook to. I have a digital multi meter that I have tried to use and they seem to have 12v on all of them. Thanks

First, make sure you have located the stoplight switch, which should be right off of the brake pedal on your 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe. The Hyundai wire color is normally gray with a black tracer, but I'd recommend confirming this for yourself using a circuit tester like # 40376.
The brake wire you are looking for will get power when the pedal is pressed, but will go cold when the pedal is released. Connect the red brake controller wire to this wire from the switch.
