Where to Place Axles on Triple Axle Trailer Getting Built

I am building a trailer the deck is 27foot x 8foot where should I place the axles

In order to calculate where the axles would go on your trailer, there are several things that need to be taken into consideration. You will have to mock up the trailer with the suspension and axles to get the weights needed to determine where the axles need to be positioned. I have attached a photo that shows you the formulas needed to determine the correct position of the axles.
Basically you want to start with the center axle being 60 percent back from the coupler with 40 percent of the trailer behind it. If the tongue weight ends up being 10-15 percent of total trailer weight there then that's where you need to put it. So the center axle would need to be 16.2 feet behind the coupler on your trailer if it was 27 total feet long.
