Useing this trans cooler, do I half to use the radiator for cooling too or can I bypass it, because this is what im wanting to do. Chevy 2002, 2500HD, 6.0

I contacted our representative at Derale and he informed me that the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit With Fan, part # D13960, can be amounted anywhere. Since it uses a fan for cooling, it is not necessary to use the radiator for cooling as the fan is strong enough to provide cooling power.
It may be beneficial for more cooling efficiency if you can mount it in front of the radiator, behind the bumper, but it is not required. Transmission fluid cannot be cooled too much or over cooled and ideally want the temperature of the fluid below 200 degrees.
