Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier Recommendation for a 2015 Hyundai Tucson
Question:
I need to haul two 9 foot kayaks on the roof of my 2015 Hyundai Tucson. It has factory side rails but no crossbars. The kayaks will have to be loaded by two not-so-tall women so we were thinking the J style would be best. What do you suggest for carriers and compatible crossbars?

First let's get you a set of crossbars for your 2015 Hyundai Tucson so that you can mount a kayak carrier to it. For that I would recommend the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack - 58" Long # MPG216 as it is a confirmed fit that will work well and install easily.
The easiest to use kayak carrier is a bit pricey, but the Thule Hullavator # TH898 would be your best option. This kayak carrier folds down to the side of your vehicle to allow you to mount your kayaks at a much easier height. And then when you have them secured you push them up and the assisted struts of the carrier easily moves the kayaks up to the roof of your vehicle.
The JayLow part # Y04073 is another great option, but will require you to lift the kayaks up to the roof of your Tucson.
