We do not have vehicle specific information for installing the # 90885 brake controller on your 2010 GL450, but as a general rule you will need to be able to mount the unit in an easily accessible location. Usually the brake controller is mounted near the driver's right or left knee, so that you would have access to the emergency brake function if needed.
Since no custom wiring is available for your vehicle, you would need to hardwire to install the brake controller. The unit includes a pigtail with four wires, which you would connect as follows.
White: Ground, attached to a clean piece of unpainted metal.
Black: 12v lead, attached to the vehicle's positive battery terminal with a 20amp or 30amp circuit breaker, like parts # 9506P or # 38630.
Blue: Electric brakes, attached to the blue electric brake wire on the 6 or 7-way plug.
Red: Stoplight switch, normally located directly off the vehicle's brake pedal.
Does your vehicle have an existing trailer connector in the rear? If not, let me know and I would be glad to recommend any other items you may need to complete the installation.
