Parts Needed for Installing Voyager Brake Controller 39510 in 2013 Chevrolet Silverado
Question:
I just purchased a hitch and installed....worked great. I have a 2013 Slverado. Next step will be a brake controller. Looking at the Tekonsha Voyager. Do I need to buy a separate harness for the 2013 or does that come with the unit? ....looks like I need to find the wires and hard wire myself. Will I need to go under the hood as well on the 2013 to connect to the fuse box poles? Thank you.

In your 2013 Chevrolet Silverado you will install the Tekonsha Voyager brake controller # 39510 by hardwiring it to the vehicle wiring already present under the dash. You will use harness # 20127; this does not come with the controller so order it in addition to the Voyager.
If at your rear bumper you have a bundle of wires you'll use # PK11898 for a 7-way. If instead you have a round connector with a cap, then use part # 30955, which will plug in to that connector.
I have linked both an install video showing a 2012 Silverado and an article that explains the controller installation process for your truck. You will need to make additional wiring connections under the hood as noted in the linked article.
