Weight Distribution System Recommendation for a Trailer with Tongue Weight of 600 lbs

Hi, my tongue weight is lower than 800lb near 600lb range I got this weightdistribution hitch as a gift Here is my question will it make my truck drive weird or damage my truck or A frame? My 2011 X5 OEM hitch is only rated upto 6k and 600lb Thanks

The part # EQ37120ET is going to be overkill for your setup that has a 600 lb tongue weight. If you use this system you will end up with a harsh/bouncy ride quality. Nothing would get damaged, but it would be unpleasant.

The next lower rated system is the part # EQ37060ET which is designed for tongue weights up to 600 lbs. This system would work great for if your setup is right at 600 lbs. But strangely enough there isn't a great system for tongue weights between 600 and 800 so instead you would need the # RP66083.

For a 2-5/16 inch ball you would want # EQ91-00-6100.
