I pulled the bracket from our warehouse, and it measures 3-1/2 inches wide at the squared top section. The rounded edge tapers down to just about an inch across. The straight side edges are 1-7/8 inches long, and the curved section adds another inch in length.

The mounting holes measure 1-3/4 inches, from center to center.
