There are 5 basic components needed to flat tow your 2006 Jeep Wrangler behind your RV and current pricing will be on each of the product pages: base plates, tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking.
The base plates mount to the front of the vehicle and provide the proper attachment points for the tow bar. You can use base plates # RM-521424-4 for a Jeep with factory double tube bumper.
For a compatible tow bar the Falcon All Terrain tow bar # RM-522 is a fantastic option. All Terrain means that you can hook up and release the tow bar even if the Jeep and RV are not on level terrain or if they are not perfectly lined up which saves you a lot of time and frustration.
This tow bar has safety cable guides built in so I recommend straight safety cables # RM-645.
For lighting there are a few options but I recommend going with the bulb and socket kit # RM-155 if you want to bypass the vehicle wiring. With it you will not have to splice into the Jeep's wiring. Another option is diode kit # RM-154 that does use the vehicle's wiring. I have linked videos showing example installations of both kits for you.
You may also need a high/low adapter to keep the tow bar level. I have linked a help article showing how to measure and a link to the high/low adapters we carry.
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. One of the preferred systems for our installers and what I recommend is the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO proportional system, # SM99251. It will apply the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
Be sure to consult your vehicle owners manual for specific information on flat towing the vehicle. I have also included some helpful links to our series of help articles on flat towing for you.
