For a trailer hitch for your 2008 Honda CR-V, I would recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 75547, as it is a Class III Hitch with a 2 inch receiver which is compatible with most hitch mounted bike racks and the hitch offers a higher tongue weight capacity than other custom fit hitches for your CR-V.
For a hitch mounted bike rack, I recommend the Thule # TH934XTR Four Bike Carrier. This bike rack will carry up to 4 bicycles and has a tilting feature that allows you to access your hatch without having to remove your bikes from the rack. It also features an anti sway strap.
Also, if you are going to be carrying an odd shaped bike frame, a womens bike, or childrens bike, I would recommend the Alternative Frame Bike Adapter, part # 64005, to allow you to mount those bike level on the bike rack.
