A 1-7/8 inch ball is usually found on very small trailers. While it is possible that the trailer takes a 1-7/8 inch ball it seems more likely that it would take a 2 inch since the dry weight of the trailer is 3,630 pounds. The coupler should have the ball requirement stamped into the top of it.
Most stand alone 1-7/8 inch balls max out at 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight though there are a few exceptions that are rated higher.
Another option is to go with an interchangeable ball set such as # 901b. It comes with a 1-7/8 inch and a 2 inch ball. The shank diameter that fits in the ball mount hole is 1 inch for this set. I have linked a video review for you.
