Fitting the SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack On My 2013 Hyundai Elantra
Question:
I used the fit guide mesument to mount the rack on a 2013 elantra. The chip is not grabbing the full length of the clip. Can you help? I also want to know how to fix the humming noise of the rack.

The fit of a semi-custom roof rack is never as good as a custom roof rack. With the SportRack Semi-Custom roof rack # SR1010, we have found that as long as the roof rack does not move or come off of the vehicle after installation and it does not cause any water to leak inside the vehicle, it will be secure enough to use. The humming noise you are hearing from the rack is normal and all square bar and round bar roof racks have a humming noise when driving.
If you are not satisfied with the fit, I think your best option would be to switch to a custom roof rack such as the Inno Square Bars consisting of the Inno Square Crossbars # INB137, the Inno Feet # INSUT, and Custom Fit Kit # INK603. This Roof Rack is custom made for you 2013 Hyundai Elantra and will fit better on your vehicle than the SportRack Semi-Custom Rack. You can also reduce the humming of this rack with the Inno Fairing # INA261.
I have attached review videos of the SportRack Roof Rack, Inno Fairing and the Inno Roof Rack you may want to check out.
