Troubleshooting Integrated Brake Controller Not Identifying Boat Trailer with EOH Brakes
Question:
I have 2006 Four Winn H2 10 boat and trailer . I have 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck 4 x 4 with manufactor electronic brakes control system . Every time hooked up to boat trailer my electronic brake control system saying that there is no trailer hooked up . Is that could be my trailer brake sensor , or do I need new trailer hook up

It sounds as if you have electric over hydraulic brakes on your trailer, typically the factory Integrated Brake Controller (IBC) is not compatible with this system.
If your trailer has drum brakes the Hydra-Star Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Drum Brakes # HBA-10 is compatible with your IBC.
If your trailer has disc brakes the Hydra-Star # HBA16 will be compatible with your IBC on your 2014 Ram Pickup.
It is important to note that even though these EOH actuators are compatible with your IBC, there have been cases where the customer needed to replace the factory controller with an aftermarket one like the P2 # 90885 or P3 # 90195. The # 3023-P is the brake controller adapter you will need for these two aftermarket Tekonsha brake controllers.
I have linked the above mentioned products to this page for your convenience.
