Charging a Battery with Tow Vehicle Using an Isolator
Question:
Hello i will be running a #2 gauge wire from the battery to isolator in my suv to a 7 pin connector from bumper on suv to trailer to charge my batterys in my camper but what do i need from the 7 pin connector to batterys in camper? Charge battery with tow vehicle thanks sorry to be confusing

The largest gauge wire that a 7-way will be able to handle is 10 gauge like # 10-1-1. Once you install the isolator, this will give you a maintenance charge, it will not charge a dead battery.
To be able to fully charge the trailer battery from a discharged state you would have to use the NOCO Genius # 329-GENIUS5. This charger can be used to fully charge the battery and then you can maintain that charge with the vehicles charging system.
