Cold Side Brake Switch Wire Location to Install a Brake Controller on a 2001 Chevy S-10

Hi, Im installing a brake controller on my 01 s10 and Im wondering where the cold side is for the brake signal wire is located at on the bcm?

To get the brake signal for the red wire on a brake controller for your 2001 Chevy S-10 you will need to tap into the wire at the brake switch and not the BCM. On the brake switch located above the brake pedal there should be a white wire. Use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 or a meter to test that wire to make sure it has power only when the brake pedal is pressed. It should be the white wire but if it isn't keep testing the brake switch wires until you locate the correct one.
