Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2016 Forester 2.5i with Factory Hitch

Question:

Hello - Looking for a 2 bike platform hitch mount bike rack that will work with the 1.25inch OEM hitch on a 2016 forester. I like the Thule Pro 2 and Kuat NV models. Will either of these work? Any other suggestions? Thanks much!

For your 2016 Subaru Forester with a factory hitch the Yakima Holdup part # Y02445 would be an excellent choice that we would highly recommend. This platform rack is one of the nicest on the market due how it will only touch the bikes you carry at the tires, it's relative light weight for a platform bike rack at 49 lbs.

The Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR wouldn't be nearly as nice of an option, but if you were looking for a hanging style bike rack this would be a great option for a lower cost solution. This rack does not include locks for securing the rack to the hitch or the bikes to the rack, plus it uses an anti-rattle hitch bolt that requires a wrench for installation and removal.
