Does the RV Bumper 2 Bike Rack # S80605 Have to Install on a Continuously Welded Bumper
Question:
I found it easier to see the weld on the outside of the bumper, rather than the inside. What I found seems to be a combination of both types of welds. There are 3 continuous welds which are each 8 inches long, and a series of spot welds in between. The bumper is on a 1999 Arctic Fox trailer. I have been planning to purchase your platform style bike rack to be used for only one bike, however now I have concerns due to your recommendations about weld types on the bumper. The spare tire rack is already mounted on the bumper, which I would remove. What do you think? Thanks,

I wish I could go ahead and say the # S80605 would work well on your trailer bumper, but since your bumper doesn't have a totally continuously welded rear bumper I can't safely recommend this rack for you.
The only option that I could safely recommend would be to take the camper to a welder and have him run continuous welds.
